Jim Gaughan

President, Unison Risk Solutions

With more than 25 years of experience, Jim Gaughan serves as the President of Unison Risk Solutions. In his current role, Jim leads the firm’s third-party administration service as well as its claim, risk management and safety consulting solutions. He develops and executes strategies to address the risk management continuum beyond the placement of insurance coverage.

Prior to assuming his current role, Jim served as a Director of Claim and Risk Consulting responsible for the management of claim and risk consulting professionals within the firm. He has also served as Vice President and practice leader for a major national broker, where he directed claim, safety and risk-consulting services for clients, extending from small, privately owned companies to Fortune 50 international firms.

Jim has extensive experience in the manufacturing, hospitality, retail, healthcare and higher education industry groups. His construction experience includes contract safety and risk management services, representing owners and contractors on projects that have included OCIP and wrap-up programs for private, state and federal projects. These projects have encompassed roadway building and maintenance, office building and airport construction, as well as hotel and resort industries.
